Members who live in the EU will soon receive the following email communication from us:
“As a consequence of the formal departure of the UK from the EU, Metfriendly are required by the relevant financial services regulator of the country that you are currently residing in, to provide you with an update on how your Metfriendly policies will continue to be serviced going forward. We are required to do this because, as of 1 January 2021, European law is no longer applicable in the United Kingdom.
The following information relates to your Metfriendly policy:
- Current products will be maintained as they are, with all contracted benefits and terms and conditions remaining as is
- No alternation to premium levels can be accepted
- No new products can be purchased from us while domiciled outside the UK
Please be reassured that Metfriendly continue to value your membership and are working within guidelines outlined by the regulators of the country you are currently residing in.
