What are cookies?

Cookies are a small text file stored on your computer by your web browser when you browse to a website. The cookie can then be reread by the same website at another time to identify your web browser. This is essential for something like an online application process so you can be identified as you click through a number of pages.

Some websites use cookies to enable them to target you with advertising based on your browsing habits. This is why websites now have to ask you if you are happy to participate. However metfriendly cookies are never used for targeting advertisments, we only use cookies to make the website work in the best way.

How does Metfriendly use cookies?

Essential Cookies: To allow us to identify you as you apply for a product or fill in one of our online forms we use a session cookie. This is a mandatory functional cookie without which the website would not work and we recommend that you do not change your browser settings to disable it.

Performance Cookies: To allow us to improve the performance of the website we use a third party website statistics provider, Google Analytics, which uses JavaScript together with cookies to establish general site usage statistics. This enables us to see how people navigate our site and identify which pages need improvement.
